Weapons Platoon, Company L, 110th Infantry Regiment
28th Infantry Division
We are a group of World War II enthusiasts who
share our interest through reenacting and Living
History activities. The members of our group are located in Pennsylvania,
New Jersey, New York, Ohio, and West Virginia.
Our group has chosen to reenact a Weapons Platoon from the 110th
Infantry Regiment of the 28th Infantry Division of the Unites States Army.
We have chosen Company 'L' to secure our link with the 3rd Battalion of
the 110th. This is also to better align us
Why the Weapons Platoon. We have a fascination with the platoon level weapons from a WWII Infantry Company. Additionally, the Weapons Platoon impression lends itself with combining with other Rifle Companies for larger unit engagements. Our impression includes the 60mm M2 Mortar and the 1919 Browning Machine gun.

Our intentions for reenacting are numerous.
Why We Reenact:
· To participate in realistic actions simulating World War II conditions,
· To experience the feel of small unit combat similar to actual situations that our veterans encountered,
· To display our uniforms, weapons and equipment at events,
· To educate the public about the U.S. Infantryman, GI of World War II and the equipment they had,
· To take part in parades to demonstrate small unit drills,
· Establish a group with which to share our passion
for this period of history
It is our primary intention is to honor and remember those
who proudly wore the ‘Keystone’ Patch and served their country.
We encourage our members to gain more knowledge about the 110th Infantry Regiment and the U.S. Army in general while in serve in the Second World War. Our research includes the wealth of books available. Even more important to our research is first person accounts available from veterans, whose individual viewpoint through their experience is priceless, and cannot be measured.
