Achtung Reenactors,

 

You landsters are invited to West Virginia to play a part in " THE DESTRUCTION OF AN AMERICAN DIVISION IN WORLD WAR II".

 Date for the Event is October 3rd, 2009.

 

Mazeskashausen an der Kall, WV consists of 143 acres of hardwoods and pine.  It looks very much like the Kall River and environs with thick pines, and winding trails.   The site of 143 acres does not sound like a lot but when it took weeks to cover yards in the Huertgen Forest it does work very nicely. The site is located 15 min. East of Steubenville, OH and 27 miles West of the Pittsburgh Airport.

 

The advantage of private land over Boy Scout Camps is that we can use pyrotechnics, bunkers, barb wire and stuff they can't have at camp.

I had an event in the past where we strung miles of com. wire to set off charges to resemble mortar rounds and land mines.

 

The are many motels in the area or you can camp out and recreate some of the misery of WWII. In case of inclement weather you can bivouac in my 30' X 40' pole barn with cement floor and wood burner. It's better than cowering in pup tents, foxholes, bomb craters or whatever.

 

Bring with you an appropriate lunch for a desperate struggle for basic survival.

You can come Friday the 2nd and stay over night and if you wish have a small night tactical but NO star shells or parachute flares near the pine trees!!!

 

On FEB. 1945 the 82nd Airborne finally took Vossenack-Kall-Schmidt against "light" German opposition and so they are also welcome.

 

The event is held on my land so there is NO FEE!!!!  Just respect my property lines and don't try to invade one of my neighbors cause this is West Virginia and most of us have a "door gun" and know how to use it. :-)
